This is our second year for this event at the Alexander Fireman's Recreational Hall on Rt.98 in Alexander NY, and after our huge success from last year with 130 entries, we're looking to make this year's show even better! This event will happen rain or shine. IT'S THE YEAR OF THE CAT! Yes, the featured sled this year will be Arctic Cat. There will be many door prizes, a big 50/50 drawing, raffles, bake sale, sled burn down contest, & more! Trophies will be awarded to 1st (and 2nd for most classes) place class winners. Registration will be from 8am -11am, Participant judging will be from 11am-1pm. Registration fee is $5 per sled, $15 for 3 or more. Vendor fee is $10 per space. Hamburgers, Hot dogs and refreshments will be served. All proceeds from this show benefit Mercy Flight of WNY. Classes will be; Antique 67 and older, Classic 68-73, Classic 74-85, Trail Muscle Pre 73, Race Pre 73, Race 74 & up, Mini sled, Cutter Combo, Best of Show, Best Featured Sled(A.Cat), Sno-Pro, and Custom & Clone. We will be judging on Saturday for awards in 20 classes including Antique and Vintage Sleds, Customs, Cutters, Raced Sleds, Mini Bikes, Mini Sleds, Peoples Choice and Longest distance traveled to attend our show. There will be a silent auction Saturday morning with proceeds going towards the show so bring any items you would like to donate. The Swap meet will be going both Friday and Saturday. Our event is a multifaceted celebration of winter, and we are considering adding a Vintage Snowmobile Exhibition if we can get a Sponsor. The Snowbowl will have Dogsled Rides and Races, Ski Joring, 18 hole Snow Golf, Broomball and Snow Sculpture competitions, and possibly a Cross Country Ski Race. We will have a heated tent and concessions for food, refreshments and beer, and our awards ceremony will be at 3:00 PM. It will be centered on a 140 acre park with lake, and we expect 400 to 800 visitors in addition to a Boy Scout Fishing Contest which will draw another 400 people.
