Loren Anderson is probably best known for the life time of work he's put into the Snowmobile Hall of Fame in St. Germain Wisconsin. But did you know Loren was a racer for many years? It's true. By the time Loren finally retired, his son Bob was already racing and Loren became his full time wrench.

Below is the Anderson Bay Harbor Sports Center Racing Team loaded up and ready to go test a few weeks before Eagle River back in 1972 when Loren lived in Williams Bay, WI. This was the first year of 90 degree carbides and ice racing so they went looking for frozen lakes. The 3 blizzards in this photo are Loren's 440cc (#699), Dick Kraft's 650cc (#694). Tough to see in the left front of trailer is Loren's 800cc (#699).

The Bay Harbor Team had 6 Blizzards, two 440s, two 650s and two 800s. Loren finished the 72 season as high point champion in the open class (800 cc) and finished 5th in the 440 class. At the Edgerton (Wisc.) Championships in early Jan of 1972, all three of these Blizzards won their classes.

Ready to go testing..
